The stunning grounds of Dauntsey Park provided the venue for the annual Dauntsey Fete. A lovely event, with well run stalls of homemade jams , cakes, books, collectibles, Pony rides, and display from the Cirencester College pack of Beagles. The Band consisted of a small group of musicians and played a selection of music including military marches, popular and disco , classical, blues, and jazzy pieces. It is always a pleasure to play at the local villages and traditional community events and we look forward to seeing you all soon.
Northwards we headed unto Cirencester, where a walk from the carpark revealed a bandstand partially surrounded by trees in a stunning parkland. Despite the ominous start to the day, the rain held off and so there was an audience which included some young potential musicians much to our delight.
The Band went to the beautiful Abbey Grounds in Cirencester, and played a lovely varied selection of music to crowds of people, avid supporters of the bands, and also some long standing personal friends .. great to see everyone there enjoying the concert in the warm Gloucestershire sunshine after a morning of cold Wiltshire rain !!!
